My completed thesis for my undergraduate degree. For this project, I wrote about one of my favorite topics, fan fiction, and the ways in which it both succeeds and fails as a feminist genre of literature. The chapters are below.
A paper I wrote using Joseph Campbell's concept of the Hero's Journey and applying it to Crime and Punishment. The essay won third place in a campus-wide review of excellent student papers.
This paper was written for my History of Psychology class, using Jungian archetypes to examine the television show Avatar: The Last Airbender. It received high marks and remains one of my favorite essays from college.
“All Shall Love Me and Despair”: Galadriel and Arwen as Archetypes and Stereotypes in Lord of the Rings
This paper was written for my capstone literature course - a class in feminist literature - and was submitted and accepted to the St. Francis Literary Conference in Illinois. I presented it there during a panel on pop culture and criticism.
